The yarn in this garment came from a charming (and chock-full of wonderful fibers, implements, and staff) local yarn shop on the Ocean City, Maryland, boardwalk. Salty Yarns overlooks the beautiful seaboard, for which the colors in this design were selected.
With its boat neck, simple T-shape, and tacked shoulders, this shirt’s construction couldn’t be simpler. The openwork pattern and gently swaying stitches call to mind winding currents and bubbles rising from ocean depths. Made of cotton with a touch of cashmere, this tee is soft, cool, and breezy. Silver sand dollar, crab, octopus, sea star, and turtle charms grace the shoulders and sleeves, reminders of lazy days spent with sand beneath your feet and salty breezes over your skin.
This top would look equally striking in a single color, and the Little Roses pattern also lends itself well to a garden theme.
